CUSTOMERS COMMENT ON
NELSON AUTOMATIC HORSE WATERERS,
LIVESTOCK WATERERS & CATTLE WATERERS
|

| "I
ordered a 700 series pasture waterer last year sometime.
I bought it based on experience I had with your company
from a waterer I'd owned in the 1970's. I have NOT been
disappointed! I
have a MUCH treasured 23 year old registered Morgan
mare named Chancey who has a tendency to colic when
the weather gets cold. She simply stops drinking. I
have had her for three years and the first two years
I had to have the vet out to hydrate her regularly.
Well, last year she didn't colic. The only factors which
were different were a feed supplement to help keep her
digestive system going and the waterer. I believe, and
my vet believes, wholeheartedly, that it was the automatic
waterer which saved her from colic last year. That said
- Chancey will NEVER be without her Nelson Automatic
Waterer. The price I paid for the waterer and the cost
of the installation paid for itself the very first year.
Not only did she not colic but she didn't have the stress
of colic either.
The
other thing that friends of mine from New England find
hard to believe is that it gets VERY cold and damp here
in northeast Alabama. Well, we of course got a heater
for the waterer and it also paid for itself. I just
want to tell you that I don't miss cleaning ice out
of the 50 gallon water troughs, I don't miss cleaning
out the green slime from a 50 gallon water trough in
the summer and I don't miss worrying that my horses
might be running out of water while I'm at work. There's
not the muddy mess around the 50 gallon water trough
after emptying it, cleaning it and refilling it, either.
They get clean water EVERY time they drink and, as you
say, it's VERY easy to clean ! I get the piece of mind
that they have water ALL the time. It's clean, it's
fresh and it's ALWAYS there and available to them. PLUS
it has saved Chancey the stress of colic (not to mention
the vet bills.) Folks may think that these waterers
are expensive but I'm hear to tell you that they pay
for themselves the very first year!
Thank
you for your time and patience in reading this email.
I just believe in your product wholeheartedly. No one
has to try to convince me that your waterers are worth
the time, money and effort to install. I love them and
wouldn't be without them!"

| "In
1984 we installed your Model 760 stainless steel waterers
for our 52 head of saddle horses. In the 16 years since,
I cannot think of a single device or piece of equipment
that we have acquired that would compare with your waterers
in terms of reliability, convenience, and man-hours saved.
Whether the temperature is 90 degrees or minus 30 degrees,
our horses enjoy the tangible health benefits of water
on demand without effort or concern on our part. Of course,
we also enjoy the absence of frozen water lines, spilled
buckets, and not having to contend with the old adage
that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make
him drink. Without equivocation, you folks manufacture
a quality and extremely functional product that will continue
being an important component in the year round care of
the horses at our horsemanship camp for girls. Thank you
for paying attention to the details in the design and
construction of your waterers, and please keep up the
good work so those of us who are down home on the farm
may take life a little easier without shortchanging our
four-legged dependents." Thomas

| "I
have Nelson wall-mounted waterers in each of our stalls.
I water Percherons. I had one horse that was a hey dunker
and made a mess with the housing. I asked Nelson if they
had a solution and they immediately got me out a stainless
steel insert bowl. It solved my problem. Other than having
a horse that was a sloppy drinker, your product is great.
I have donated all my buckets to people who still have
to carry water. Too bad for them.

"I
love my Nelson Waterer. One summer I installed a 700 series
waterer in pasture for our horses. Installation was very
easy and clear and I got great technical assistance from
a very patient, knowledgeable employee.
Since then, no more lugging water buckets, breaking ice,
no tipped over water buckets and no mud pits around the
drinking areas. The horses get clean water, the water
is clean so they drink more good water and less water
waste. When we got our first snow of the season I went
out to check the waterer to find a foot of snow everywhere
except the waterer. That little heater did the job!"

"We
have used Nelson Livestock Waterers at the Denver Zoo
for many years. The majority of our waterers are used
for ungulates, from Giraffes to Warthogs, however, they
are also used for carnivores such as our Grey Wolves.
We have an extremely valuable collection of often irreplaceable
animals at the Denver Zoo and cannot risk depriving of
them of water. Reliability in an automatic waterer is
therefore paramount, and Nelson delivers in this respect.
Ease of use and maintenance, size and shape of the waterers
are all positive factors and, along with the freeze proof
features, are reasons that we continue to purchase Nelson
Waterers for new and renovation projects."

"I've
had six Nelson Horse Waterers for the past 20 years. I
love them - the best thing in the world. A great labor
saver that is very easy to clean. Rinse the removable
stainless steel bowl and that is all there is to it. In
the winter you don't have to worry about them freezing.
I have yet to replace the heaters. I would rather give
up my vacuum cleaner."
