CUSTOMERS COMMENT ON
NELSON AUTOMATIC HORSE WATERERS,
LIVESTOCK WATERERS & CATTLE WATERERS

"My name is Kerren Scott. I own and manage a boarding stable in Montpelier, Ohio. I purchased 11 Nelson Waterers for stalls and one waterer for pasture. This was the best purchase I ever made. The Nelson Waterers always provide my horses with water.

The waterers are so dependable and reliable. I never have to drag hoses or beat ice out of the buckets again. In the winter you do not have to worry about freezing because the Nelson Waterers have a temperature control heating element, even the outside waterer does not freeze. The waterers are very easy to clean with the stainless steel cleans like new. This is the best automatic waterer. I am building more stalls and I just purchased two more Nelson Auto Waterers.

Thank you Nelson Mfg. for providing me with your Nelson Automatic Waterers."

"One of the few things we've bought that lives up to it's reputation. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 10 plus. As close to horse proof as anything can be. The only thing in the barn that my English Shires haven't destroyed. They may cost more than others, and I am tight, but are well worth the extra money. Because of the removable stainless steel bowl it is easy to clean and check on. The waterer has always worked great with never any down time. We've gotten excellent service out of it for the past seven years. When we move to another farm, we will buy only Nelson."

"Thank you for making such a great product!

We had read about the waterers in your ads and brochures for years before we actually purchased them, dreaming of the day when we would no longer have to drag water hoses and break ice all winter long. Finally we started our new barn and included the waterers in our plans.

Your representative gave us a great demonstration at a trade show so we committed on the spot and bought the style that fit our needs.

We love the waterers and the horses love the waterers. Our horses had no problems adapting to them. I no longer worry about the cold depriving them of their much needed water.

Cleaning the bowls takes no time at all and there are no ice problems.  I’ve even bought an extra set of bowls so I can immediately replace the dirty ones that have to be sterilized or soaked for hard water stains.

Thank you for making the daily task of owning our horses more enjoyable. The time I have saved on watering horses is now spent brushing, grooming and loving our babies.

Also a big thanks from our Horses; “Tux”, “Sailor” and our newest addition a yearling Filly named “Fanci”.

"I use a Nelson Model I automatic waterer for my dairy cows. This waterer originally was bought back in 1963. I have had very few problems with it and those were easily fixed. It is economical to operate, even in the coldest of weather."

"This is my honest opinion.  I am very pleased with your product and would like to thank you for providing such an easy product to use.  Clean out the bowl occasionally and that's all!  How much easier could it get.  The only problem I had was I misunderstood the instructions. I was in a time pinch during the install so I skipped the step about the heat sink underneath the riser pipe. My line did freeze slightly once this past winter when it was below zero for almost a week straight.  I used a heat tape to thaw out the poly line and put a few inches of insulation on the concrete, inside the bottom of the waterer, and in a matter of minutes it thawed out.  Even though it got -15 for several days, it never froze up again.    Despite the problem (which was my own fault) I am convinced that this is the best watering product on the market.  I researched for over a year before I bought an automatic waterer and I couldn't be happier with my decision.  Your customer service department was very helpful when I had questions or problems. I especially like how easy it is to clean out the bowl and that the animals always have cold water.  The low energy heater provided water for my horses even when it was -15 degrees fahrenheit.  It is durable and tough and still looks nice after a year of extreme heat, cold and horses abuse.  There is no learning curve for the horses and nothing for them to break or chew on."
